1. What are the benefits of hair extensions?
2. Will having hair extensions look false, like I’m wearing a wig?
Lorraine will match all extensions perfectly to your hair weight and colour so you get a very natural look. That is the difference with good extensions.
3. How long do they last?
Hair extensions last for 3 months with on going retouches
4. Do hair extensions require a lot of work and after care?
You can treat hair extensions like your own hair. It may take longer to wash and dry.
5. How long does it take to apply extensions?
This depends on whether you’re having a full head, partial head or just a few strands. It can take anything from 30 minutes to 4 hours. Contact Lorraine and she will give you a clearer guide as to how long you personally need to set aside
6. Can extensions damage my hair?
No, as long as the extensions are applied properly. Lorraine is a fully trained Hair Extension Technician with over ten years experience in a full range of methods.
7. Can I style my hair extensions?
Yes, you can style using straighteners, hairdryers, tongs and heated rollers.
8. How are hair extensions removed?
A specially formulated solution is applied to the bond and then combed through to remove.
9. Are extensions comfortable to sleep in?
Hair extensions can be uncomfortable for the first night or so, but this will ease in time as the extensions relax.
10. Do bonded/glued on extensions damage natural hair?
Extensions can damage the natural hair if they are not looked after and maintained accordingly. Details of how to do this will be given to you during consultation.
11. How long do re-touch appointments take?
Touch up appointments are an hour long every four to eight weeks depending on the speed of your hair growth, this appointment cost £65 but that's only for the hour if the extensions aren't maintained correctly this may take longer and I charge an additional £10 every half hour on top.
12. Where is my nearest salon? Or are home appointments available?
Lorraine currently works from a salon on Cheltenham Road or at her home in Bradley Stoke, Bristol. You would normally need to come to Lorraine for the consultation but we would be more than happy to apply the extensions at your home. Areas outside Bristol may incur travel expenses.
