Racoon International use a well established supplier network to source our Human Hair. The suppliers used by Racoon International have been supplying hair for over 60 years and have worked exclusively with Racoon since its creation in 1995.
Racoon International is the only dedicated hair extensions company to achieve the British Standards Institute ISO 9001 accreditation (BSI kite market of quality) and has maintained it for the past 5 years. Every Year Racoon are audited by the BSI and we have to prove that we manage our suppliers to achieve the delivery of quality products at a suitable price for delivery to our Customers, we then have to also prove that our Customers are satisfied with our products via in depth Customer Survey mechanisms.
Racoon International has very strict guidelines that their hair suppliers have to follow to ensure that the best quality hair possible is sourced and delivered to your salons. All of our hair is Remy to ensure that it is both root point correct and cuticle intact, this is a scarce commodity of the highest quality that can be re-used time and time again, offering the best investment possible for you.
Our Suppliers source the hair from a variety of networks, Finest Indian hair is used in the production of our unique Euro hair product. We use the generic term Euro to describe our fabulous, premium quality product, and not European as this clearly defines the geographical limitations for collection; however the hair is of European appearance and texture.
We have dedicated production lines for Racoon International and all of our hair processing is carried out in the Far East. We forecast our requirements at least a year in advance to ensure that our hair requirements are purchased in advance and processed to the highest standards. Racoon International does not process any Human Hair in India.
Our Euro Hair is a very scarce commodity and we actively educate our customers in using hair responsibly, we also offer a hair re-processing service to ensure that the hair is used for as long as possible.
Racoon International also polices the Internet on a daily basis to ensure that the brand is not wrongly associated with inferior hair sold via websites.
We actively work with sites like E-Bay to ensure that the many incorrect references to Racoon Hair are swiftly removed from their site.

There are different grades of human hair used in the hair extensions and replacement industries. Chinese hair is the most common type of hair and can be bought in many afro hair shops and fashion stores.
Chinese hair is widely available and is cheap to buy. However Chinese hair is very thick and coarse. Many companies chemical treat the hair to make it feel and look like European hair. This reduces the thickness and gives it a softer and finer texture. The cuticle is often stripped using a strong acid. This destroys the hair leaving over processed and fragile. The hair is then coloured and a layer of silicone is given to the hair leaving it soft and shiny. The hair then gives the appearance or European hair.
Virgin Russian and Asia Remy Cuticle hair is human hair. It still has its cuticle (outer layer) and is specially processed to make sure all the cuticles are facing the same direction from root to end. So the hair does not tangle or matt. The hair is RAW - which means it has never been coloured, premed, tinted or chemically treated in any way. This hair is at its finest and can be perfectly matched to your own hair. E.g. Coloured curl and texture. It can be coloured, highlighted, premed, blow-dried straighten and curled to create any look you want. And still behave exactly like your natural looking hair. The hair is beautiful and soft. Full of lustre and retains its vitality and elasticity after many months .The hair can be used again and again and still be good quality. Once you used this hair you you'll never used Chinese hair again.
